This site is a place to publish and disseminate the Scathingly Brilliant Ideas that occur to me from time to time. (Yes, that phrase is borrowed from the movie, The Trouble With Angels.) Often, these ideas are for fields where I have little knowledge or expertise, and I share them with hopes that someone, somewhere, will be able to take them and run with them to places I could never go. I believe that even a bad idea may spark a very good idea in another person’s brain, so let’s think together!
It will incorporate the content from my old blog, “White Tree Ideas,” the title of which I may eventually use in some other way. It refers to JRR Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings. Sometimes I wonder if all of western culture hasn’t existed in order to produce that one book … not saying I actually believe that, but sometimes I wonder.
